This picture demonsrates figure and ground. The images' focal point is created by the man at the head of the table being larger and in the fore-ground of the image. The positive and negative space in this image makes you see that the man in the center is the main person, and the most powerful at the table. The black and white figures demonstarte negative and positive space very well. When the black and white pieces are are together, it shows the entire picture of a group of people at a long table. I reallly liked this piece because I think it shows the fore-ground and the figures very well. Because the focal point or main character is larger, he is in the front of the image. The other people are smaller and smaller as the are farther away on the table.
