This song is slow and has a more melancholy feel. It's rhythm is fairly slow and constant but the different instruments and sounds used to create the melody provide a lot of rhythm so the listener doesn't get bored of hearing the same sounds over and over. The rhythm is established by the patterns and repetition of words and lyrics. This song is also very interesting because the singers voice is sometimes quiet and then gets louder on the chorus which gives it emphasis and really catches the reader's attention.

Song Choice- Mariah LeBlanc
Title: Firework By: Katy Perry The song Firework by Katy Perry has an awesome beat throughout the entire song. I would interpret this into rhythm and repetition. Because the song is very up tempo, and fast I would interpret it into geometric lines that are close together, and vary in size. The chorus of the song is vary catchy and for some reason I think of organic lines when I hear the chorus, circles to be exact. It is hard not to think of a firework when listening to the song because that is what the song is about. However, despite thinking of a firework I always pictured this song to be very colorful. Unfortunately we can only use one color in this project so I chose the color red. The color red it is bold, vibrant, and captures the essence of the song.

Song Choice - Ashley J
Title - 'I Know What I Am"
By - Band of Skulls
If I were to describe this song using the principles and elements of design, the first word that comes to mind is rhythm. There is a constant rhythm throughout the song that rarely changes or strays from the original tempo. It's not until the very end where there song slows down. There is also balance between the instrumental sounds and the vocals. It is unified overall by the sounds working together to create a well balanced song.

when looking at this picture I first thought the foreground was the black, but when i took the time to really look at the picture, i felt that the white started to pop out more. Pictures like these always change every time you look at them, i feel like everytime you look at a foreground picture you find something new about the picture.
This picture demonsrates figure and ground. The images' focal point is created by the man at the head of the table being larger and in the fore-ground of the image. The positive and negative space in this image makes you see that the man in the center is the main person, and the most powerful at the table. The black and white figures demonstarte negative and positive space very well. When the black and white pieces are are together, it shows the entire picture of a group of people at a long table. I reallly liked this piece because I think it shows the fore-ground and the figures very well. Because the focal point or main character is larger, he is in the front of the image. The other people are smaller and smaller as the are farther away on the table.
Figure/Ground - Molly Stone
This design depicts figure/ground reversal because of the the black & white horsemen. The black horsemen are traveling right and the white horsemen are traveling left. In the negative space you can see that the two lines of black horsemen create the illusion of the white horsemen above them. and the same illusion when the two white lines of horsemen come together to make the black negative space the black horsemen. This composition is tricky and has a lot of movement.
